Warner Bros Park - Guide for Tourists

Page update - Oct 8, 2022

Warner Bros. Park (further will be writing the name without the point) in Abu Dhabi is often referred to by the press as a "new generation amusement park". What exactly makes it so? Or is it just advertising? Who will be interested and who won't be? Where is the park located and how is it convenient to get there? How much does a ticket cost, and how to save money? Read the answers on this page.

By the situation of October 2022, Warner Bros park is open as usual. The prices and timetable have recently changed slightly. All attractions are open except Cartoon Junction Carousel and Meet Bugs and Daffy, and Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis may not run on some days. Read all the details below on this page.

Starting September 28, 2022, the UAE (all the seven emirates) no longer requires wearing masks indoors at: hotels, stores, malls, restaurants and all catering. However, the authorities have not exactly said anything about amusement parks. Recall that Warner Bros park is fully indoor, and until September 28, masks were mandatory there. As a result, parks make their own rules. Some parks require masks, but most do not. At Warner Bros park, masks are NOT required. However, it is advisable to have a mask with you, as masks are now required in transport.

By the way, relatively recently (in May 2021) a new adrenaline ride Scarecrow Scare Raid opened. Read the details below on this page.

Brief description

Warner Bros park is a fully indoor and air-conditioned amusement park. It opened in July 2018 at a cost of USD 1 billion. There are 29 rides and the park has a total area of 37.8 acres (15.3 hectares).

Warner Bros park is located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on Yas Island, next to Yas WaterWorld and Ferrari World parks and the Yas Mall. Getting there is either expensive or tedious, as we will describe in detail later in the "How to get there" section.

The themes of the park are based on the characters and universes of Warner Bros Movies: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil and others, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo. As well as the Batman and DC Comics universes. Naturally, there are actors in the life-size costumes of these characters walking around the park, with whom you can and should be photographed with. And the scenarios of the rides are based on the adventures of these characters.

Warner Bros park is divided into 6 zones: Warner Bros Plaza in the center, and around it (counterclockwise) - Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City, Metropolis. The convenient location of the zones is one of the unquestionable advantages of the park, because through the central square you can quickly get to any zone.

Key things to know

Warner Bros is a park for families. All rides there are aimed primarily at children.

If you are looking for adrenaline, fast rides and mesmerizing twists and turns, you should NOT go there. Better go to the neighboring Ferrari World park.

If you want to entertain your child from 3 to 12 years old, you NEED to go there. Even at the height of 2 feet 11 inches (90 centimeters, usually 3 years) your child can ride half of the rides. At the height of 3 feet 11 inches (120 centimeters, usually 7 years) almost all of them.

If you love Batman, Superman, and other DC-comics characters, then NEED to go there.

If you love Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tom and Jerry, the Flintstones, and other cartoon characters, then NEED to go there.

Just remember, it is NOT a Disneyland, there are no Disney characters there.

How to get there

If you are vacationing in a hotel on Yas Island, take the local Yas Express shuttle. They run from Yas Plaza hotels to all the amusement parks on the island. The fare is free.

If vacationing in a hotel in another part of Abu Dhabi, you can take a cab or bus.

The cab ride will cost between AED 35-80, depending on where you're coming from, because Abu Dhabi is a big city. For the cab fares see our review "Taxis in Abu Dhabi and other emirates". For the current exchange rates of the dirham to US dollar and other currencies, see our review "Money in the UAE".

The 102 bus runs from Abu Dhabi downtown. It is most convenient to get on at Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. Usually tourists take a cab to the bus station. But if the 102 bus stops somewhere near your hotel, that's great.

The 216 bus runs between Khalifa City Market and the Al Bahia neighborhood to the north. It stops at Yas Island on the way and passes Warner Bros park. The 216 bus is usually useless for tourists.

The A19 bus runs between Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Louvre on Saadiyat Island. On the way, it stops at Yas Island, passing Warner Bros park. As of October 2022, it is not running temporarily.

If you stay in Dubai, you can take the E100 or E101 buses to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station and then take bus 102. Read more and see the prices in our detailed review "From Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back".

There are free buses for the Warner Bros park visitors. Read the details in our review "Free buses from Dubai to Abu-Dhabi".

Find your hotel

Most tourists think it's expensive, but by UAE standards it's a standard price for amusement parks. Do you want it cheaper? Read our review "How to save on entertainment in the UAE".

You can buy combo-tickets to several Yas Island parks, then the ticket to each park is much cheaper.

- 2 parks 1 day: AED 395;

- 2 parks 2 days: AED 435;

- 3 parks 3 days: AED 545.

Normally, a ticket bought online is not exchangeable or refundable. But now there is a free exchange and refund policy due to the coronavirus. Contact customer service at

What is the Flash Pass?

It is a special add-on to your ticket which allows you to enter any attraction out of line. It is common practice for amusement parks in the UAE. It costs 150 or 250 dirhams per person (depending of the season).

There is no point in Flash Pass on weekdays, but it is very useful on weekends. This service is designed more for locals who work and can only come to the park on weekends. It is easier for tourists to come on a weekday.

Hours of operation

Mondays & Tuesdays: from 10 am to 8 pm (10-00 to 20-00).

Wednesday to Sunday: from 12 pm (noon) to 8 pm (12-00 to 20-00).

Warner Bros park does not have a flagship attraction like Formula Rossa at nearby Ferrari World. Every attraction at Warner Bros is interesting in its own way.

Bedrock River Adventure

Height restriction: from 3 feet 5 inches (105 centimeters).

A peaceful family ride. For about 5 minutes you will float along the river along the Bedrock town scenery from the animated series The Flintstones. Only the second part has a bit of a scary moment when the boat goes down the slide, making a wave. You'll have to get a little wet.

Fans of The Flintstones cartoon will love it. The rest are more likely to remain indifferent. If you haven't watched this animated series at all, we recommend watching a couple of episodes to be aware of it.

Fast and Furry-ous

Height restriction: from 3 feet 7 inches (110 centimeters).

A small roller coaster imitating the coyote Wile's (from the Looney Tunes cartoon) rocket ride. Passengers there are not in wagons, as is usually the case on a roller coaster, but are suspended under the track. The scenery imitates the Wild West.

The ride lasts about 30 seconds. So it is difficult to get the full experience in one ride.

Find your transfer

Jetsons Cosmic Orbiter

Height restriction: from 2 feet 11 inches (90 centimeters).

This is a very simple children's carousel. It is stylized as The Jetsons cartoon series about the adventures of a family of the future. Children from 2 feet 11 inches to 3 feet 11 inches (90 to 120 centimeters) high should only ride if accompanied by an adult.

There's not even much to tell. Passengers are seated in simulated spaceships in the shape of a saucer, then ride in a circle with small rises and falls of the saucer.

Marvin the Martian Crashers

Height restriction: from 3 feet 5 inches (105 centimeters).

This is a familiar bumper car attraction. Stylized after the character Marvin the Martian from the Looney Tunes cartoon.

This is probably the most unfortunate ride at Warner Bros park. First of all, the cars are very small and it is problematic for an adult to fit in with a child - there is nowhere to put his or her knees. Secondly, the playground is very small, and you can't just go for a ride. Almost all the time you have to spend in a "clash" with other cars.

Tom and Jerry: Swiss Cheese Spin

Height restriction: from 3 feet 7 inches (110 centimeters).

The ride starts out fun. The visitor walks through Tom and Jerry's house, and the house is already pretty battered from the squabbles between them. Next, visitors enter Jerry the mouse's dwelling hole. This part of the attraction gets an "A" first and foremost for the attention to detail. You can see that the creator of this house loves his work.

The ride itself is a roller coaster on saucer cars that also rotate. The ride is mostly in the dark, so nothing is clear. The ride lasts about 1 minute.

The ride mimics Jerry's chase for cheese and Tom's chase for Jerry. However, you can only find that out from the ride description. It is difficult, if not impossible, to understand the scenario during the ride itself.

Scooby Doo: The Museum of Mysteries

Height restriction: from 2 feet 11 inches (90 centimeters).

This is an attraction based on the Scooby-Doo animated series. Visitors sit in wagons and ride slowly along the track, looking around the installation and listening to the story of another Scooby team investigation. You could say it's an exclusive episode of the series.

The story is told in English. If you know the language, it will be interesting and even exciting. If you do not know English, it is unlikely that this attraction will be interesting.

Cartoon Junction Carousel

Height restriction: from 2 feet 7 inches (80 centimeters).

This kind of attraction is commonly referred to as the "Wedding Carousel". Children ride next to or on top of Warner Studios cartoon characters.

Daffy Jet-Propelled Pogo Stick

Height restriction: from 3 feet 3 inches (100 centimeters).

This is the attraction "fall from the tower", but not very high - no higher than 20 feet (6 meters).

Tweety Wild Wockets

Height restriction: from 2 feet 11 inches (90 centimeters).

Another carousel, this time visitors play as Tweety and escape the evil Sylvester.

Ricochet Racin' with Taz

Height restriction: from 2 feet 11 inches (90 centimeters).

Children ride on small carriage rides with the Tasmanian Devil.

Ani Mayhem

Height restriction: from 2 feet 11 inches (90 centimeters).

By the standards of Warner Bros park, it is a very interesting attraction. It is interactive, visitors wear glasses and take in the hands of a bar code gun. You have to score as many points as possible.

ACME Factory

Height restriction: none.

This is a large playground with a soft maze, suspended and mesh bridges, a rolling ball and other activities.

Batman: Knight Flight

Height restriction: from 3 feet 11 inches (120 centimeters).

As soon as visitors get to the Batman ride, they think there will be dizzying chases and a sea of adrenaline. But in reality, nothing flies or rides anywhere. This kind of attraction is commonly referred to as "the capsule". In front of the visitors is a large screen, which shows a movie with the race and flight over Gotham City.

The Riddler Revolution

Height restriction: from 3 feet 11 inches (120 centimeters).

One of the scariest rides in Warner Bros park. Visitors are seated on the edges of a large "saucer" that spins and simultaneously rides on a curved rail.

The ride is dedicated to a character named Riddler, one of Batman's main adversaries in the comic books. In the Batman movies, the character appeared only once in "Batman Forever", so many tourists know him poorly.

The Joker Funhouse

Height restriction: none.

In this attraction, visitors enter the lair of the villain Joker, Batman's irreconcilable foe. Such attractions we usually call the "cave of fear" or "haunted house", when visitors are walking through dark corridors and they are shown all sorts of scary stories on different sides.

But there are additional interesting elements - a mirror maze, a small slide, and moving stairs. Nice and interesting attraction.

Justice League: Warworld Attacks

Height restriction: from 3 feet 7 inches (110 centimeters).

This attraction begins with the Justice League Superhero Statue Gallery. Impressive.

The rest of the ride is less impressive. Visitors move through a corridor where screens show scenes of superheroes fighting the invading forces of Steppenwolf. It looks more like a computer game than anything else.

If you are familiar with the Justice League movie, it will be interesting. If you're not, it's incomprehensible.

Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey

Height restriction: from 3 feet 7 inches (110 centimeters).

4D movie theater with a movie about a superhero named Green Lantern.

Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis

Height restriction: none.

Another movie theater, but this time about Superman's battle with the villain Brainiac.

Rogues Gallery Games

Height restriction: none.

Another play area with toy guns and other interactive entertainment.

Teen Titans Training Academy

Height restriction: from 3 feet 7 inches (110 centimeters).

Children's obstacle course with zip-line, stairs, rock climbing wall. A very interesting activity.

Scarecrow Scare Raid

Height restriction: from 4 feet 3 inches (130 centimeters).

Pretty scary merry-go-round with a 360 degree rotation. Visitors spend part of the ride upside down. Note: The Scarecrow (Dr. Jonathan Crane) is an evil character from the Batman universe.

It is the newest attraction at Warner Bros World Park, opening in May 2021.

Tips for tourists

- It is forbidden to bring your own food and drinks inside. Exceptions are made for baby food;

- For visitors with very young children, there is a stroller rental service located at the entrance;

- Baby changing rooms are located in the Bedrock area;

- No smoking is allowed inside the park, but there are exits outside to special smoking areas in different parts of the park. However, it is now illegal to smoke indoors at all in the UAE, as we talked about in the review "Smoking in the UAE - rules and prices";

- If you arrive with bags you don't want to carry around the park, you can hand them over to the luggage room at the entrance;

- Being drunk in the park or/and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. However, as well as in any public place in the UAE. Read our reviews "What tourists can't do in the UAE" and "Alcohol in Abu Dhabi and the UAE".

Have fun at Warner Bros park, and read our interesting pages about the UAE (see the list of the pages below).
